White Sands New Mexico Sunset

The face of White Sands National Monument landscape changes from moment to moment and as the seasons change in the high desert of New Mexico. The normally pristine white sand has a softer tone as the sunset begins. A couple on a distant sand dune watching the beauty unfold.

Sagres Sunset

As the sun dips on the horizon, the sky above the Sagres coast is set a blaze in shades of orange, blue and purples. Waves crashing relentlessly over the rocky shore, white foam is a wonderful contrast with the steel blue ocean. Clouds in the sky curl as if to mimic the waves, a mesmirizing seascape leaves one in awe of the beauty of Portugal's Atlantic coast.

Crystal Crag Sunrise

With the first rays of sunlight illuminates the jagged peaks of the Crystal Crag in Mammoth Lakes, California. In the quiet stillness the glow of the crag is perfectly reflected on the glassy surface of Lake Mamie. The contrast between the light and shadows creates a serene scene of the beauty of nature at its best. This also happens to be where I grew up. Crystal Crag was literally in my backyard.

As the sun sets in the horizon, the pier glows lights glow and cast a soft reflection on ocean waters. Beautiful moemnt to capture the serene beauty of the California coastline.

Algarve Blue

The sky turned a deep blue with just a touch of orange as the sun fell behind the horizon signaling the start of the blue hour. The jagged rock formations standing like sentinals along the Algarve beach were bathed in the warm last soft light of the sun illuminating their rugged edges. As the sky changed from a lovely soft blue light to darkness, it was a beautiful backdrop to the reflections on the still wet beach of Praia de Roche.

Everglades Kind of Morning

Silence fills the air. Everglades wildlife is just beginning to wake up. Low mist on the water and warm golden light begins to shine on the tall grass. The day has begun.

Mykonos Little Venice Sunrise

Beautiful sunrise over Little Venice on the Greek island of Mykonos. Churning the ocean waves, the wind which is not uncommon for Mykonos is the wind earning Mykonos the nickname, Island of the Winds. Nevertheless it was a beautiful clear morning making for a beautiful view the charming architecture of Little Venice. Clouds tinted with a soft pink by the rising sun.
